9f382ed9bd Iterate on plugin reconciler 
- Renamed setProperty to setCanonicalProperty, which is more usefully
  descriptive. Also added a detailed comment.
- Fixed reconciler behavior with regards to removing known instances
  when $ignoreUnknownInstances is set
